This Clarification Text Regarding Cookie Policy has been prepared by Penezoğlu Law Firm (“Penezoğlu Law”) as data controller within the scope of article 10 of The Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (the “Law”) and the Communiqué on the Principles and Procedures to Comply with the Fulfillment of the Disclosure Obligation.

We would like to inform you about the types of cookies used on our website, the purposes of cookies, the settings, management, and deletion of these cookies, and the privacy policy.

You may visit our website without giving any personal information and obtain information about our services. Some cookies are used to collect information about the use of the site during visits. This is to make our website more user-friendly for visitors and to improve its operation.

Penezoğlu Law reserves the right to make amendments to this Clarification Text Regarding Cookie Policy and any amendments will be published on this page. The Updated Policy will take effect on the date it is published on our website.

What is Cookie?

Functional Cookies: These are cookies used for personalization and remembering preferences used on the website. For example, these cookies can remember language preferences or text font size preferences. If you do not allow the use of these cookies, you might not be able to use a personalised feature and your preferences will not be remembered. 

Your personal data collected through these cookies are processed by obtaining your explicit consent in accordance with paragraph (1) of article 5 of the Law and are stored by us for 11 months.

Performance and Analytics Cookies: These cookies allow us to improve our website, which allows the collection of statistical information in order to analyze user behavior. These cookies collect information about visitors' use of the website, to check whether the website is working properly and to detect errors received.

Your personal data collected through these cookies are processed by obtaining your explicit consent in accordance with paragraph (1) of article 5 of the Law and are stored by us for 11 months.

In order to protect the privacy of our visitors' personal data, the systems and Internet infrastructure of our firm are maintained at the highest security level and the necessary precautions have been taken.

How to send your requests?

Under article 11 of the Law, you are entitled to the following rights as the data subject:

• Request information on whether or not your personal data are processed;
• Request information if your personal data have been processed;
• Request information about the purpose of processing and if your personal data have been used for the purposes described,
• Receive information about the third parties whom your personal data are transferred in Turkey and abroad;
• Request correction of your personal data if they are inaccurate or incomplete;
• Request deletion or destruction of your personal data in accordance with the relevant legislation;
• Request notification is made to the third parties about correction, deletion and destruction of your personal data in accordance with the relevant legislation;
• Object to any result against you arising from analysis of the processed data by automated systems only,
• Request compensation for the damages arising from unlawful processing of your personal data.

Based on the nature of your request, your application will be resolved as soon as possible within thirty days at the latest and free of charge. If, however, the relevant action requires additional costs, you may be charged a fee based on the tariff to be determined by the Personal Data Protection Board.

How to manage cookies?

Except for mandatory cookies, for all cookies used on our website, explicit consent of users is obtained, and it is possible to change this consent at any time. Users may view the types of cookies that are used on our website through the cookie management panel and determine their preferences by turning "on" or "off" each cookie, except for the Mandatory Cookies. The users may always change their preferences through this panel.

You can remove the cookies from your computer and prevent the cookies from being saved/placed on your internet explorer.
